Thịt, gan, buồng trứng, tinh hoàn, da và ruột đều chứa độc tố (Ref. 42715). Phân bố tại các khu vực đáy cát và đá dăm nằm liền kề với các rạn san hô và rạn đá ngầm. Có tập tính vùi mình trong cát, chỉ để lộ phần mắt và một phần cơ thể ở mặt lưng (Ref. 128523).
