Phân bố ở vùng ven bờ trên và xung quanh các rạn san hô, nền đáy cứng (Ref. 39597), cùng các sinh cư bùn và bùn cát (Ref. 48635). Thường bị đánh bắt bằng lưới và câu tay (Ref. 39597). Cũng được tìm thấy ở nền đáy đá và các khe nứt của rạn san hô ở độ sâu khoảng 7-70 m (Ref. 90102).
