Diagnosis. Greenish body dorsally with 4 – 7 longitudinal stripes on upper rows of longitudinal scales Body depth at first dorsal fin origin is 25 – 29 % of SL, 22 – 26 % of SL at origin of anal fin and 12 – 14 % of SL at caudal peduncle. First dorsal fin origin nearer to base of caudal fin or midway between them. Second dorsal fin originates 1 / 3 posterior to anal fin base at vertical. Pectoral fin 70 – 81 % of head length and 18 – 22 % of SL. Scale numbers: 26 – 33 scales in longitudinal series and 9 – 11 scales in transverse series.
